Childbearing desires and models of “good” parenthood among U.S. young adults – onsite seminar with Sarah Hayford
To what can we attribute declining birth rates in the United States that have recently declined to their lowest recorded level? Is increasing economic precarity to blame, or rather high demands for investment in children?
On Tuesday, May 28 we’ll talk about understanding young people’s plans and goals for future childbearing, which is important for predicting future demographic trends. We will also shed light on the social meanings that young people assign to parenthood.
It’s a great pleasure to invite you all to our LabFam onsite seminar with Sarah Hayford from The Ohio State University.
